The West Coast Eagles Football Club is based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986. It plays home games at Subiaco Oval and played some home games between 1987 and 2000 at the WACA.
Since entering the competition, the Eagles have become one of the most wealthy and successful clubs in the AFL, winning the 1992, 1994 and 2006 premierships, being runners up in 1991 and 2005 and competing in finals in all but seven seasons during their time in the AFL. The club has also supplied two Brownlow Medallists, four Norm Smith Medallists, a Coleman Medallist, a Rising Star winner, two winners of the Leigh Matthews Trophy and having at least one player in the All-Australian team in all but four seasons.
