Essendon chief executive Xavier Campbell is isolating after returning a positive COVID-19 test.

Campbell — who is fully vaccinated — tested positive on Tuesday morning after developing “very mild symptoms” on Monday.
The Bombers released a media statement saying Campbell had not attended the club’s base near Melbourne Airport since last Wednesday.
He has had no direct contact with members of the club’s football program, with off-season training to continue “as normal”.
“I experienced very mild symptoms on Monday afternoon and out of caution, got tested which has since returned a positive result,” Campbell said in the Bombers’ statement.
“My family and I are now isolating as we await all results.
