WA Police have charged Fremantle Dockers assistant coach Josh Carr after he allegedly breached quarantine rules in Perth.
After returning from Queensland on Sunday, Carr was given a modified quarantine direction, according to police, which allowed him to self-quarantine for 14 days and attend training and matches.
But police allege that when officers went to Carr’s address on Wednesday, he was not home.
They also allege Carr breached the directions on a number of other occasions by travelling to locations not associated with his duties at the club, as well as allowing unauthorised people into his home.
Carr has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with a direction and is not permitted to leave quarantine — even for matches — until next Sunday.
In a statement, the club said it was frustrated and disappointed in Carr’s actions, adding he would be stood down from coaching duties while further action was considered.
First-year player Brandon Walker was also fined by police after he told the club he had breached quarantine rules by taking his dog for a short walk after training on Tuesday.
